The Panasonic HDC-SD900 is a compact SD card camcorder that features Panasonic's advanced 3MOS sensor system. The sensor is made up of 3 x 2.53 megapixels and separates the light received through the lens into the three primary colours to offer images with significantly better colour quality, detail and gradation. The HYBRID O.I.S. image stabilization system detects even subtle movement and corrects it optically in the lens and electronically in the sensor. The Panasonic's iA (Intelligent Auto) mode consists of six functions: Face Recognition, new HYBRID O.I.S., AF/AE Tracking, Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Detection and Intelligent Contrast Control. The camcorder senses the shooting conditions and automatically makes the settings and activates functions that will deliver optimal results. The optional VW-CLT1 conversion lens utilises the 3MOS sensor and allows the Panasonic HDC-SD900 to record real 3D images.
